A British man abandoned by fellow climbers on Mount Everest, left to die, without even a soul to comfort him in his last moments - this is the callous attitude fellow human beings have today. Agreed that scaling the Everest is a self-defining moment, a remarkable achievement for any human, but surely no goal is more important than saving another human’s life !! WHAT has happened to basic human empathy ??? HOW can you leave another human to die when you might be able to save his life or atleast afford some comfort to him in his last few moments on earth ??? HOW will u look at yourself in the mirror for the rest of your life ??? Some people say that the logic of the mountains is that when there’s no hope of saving a life, then you just have to embrace abandonment, but tell me, can YOU leave a man to die even if his death is imminent ? Willl you not want to utter a few kind words or atleast try to know his last wishes ? Isn’t that the least that we can expect of each other, putting ourselves in the same situation ? Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to scale the Everest in 1952, has aptly termed the incident “horrific”. This unfortunate incident should serve as a wake-up call for people who actually have answers to my questions above !! They need to do a thorough self-analysis if they aren’t shocked by this highly immoral incident. May the departed soul rest in peace …..

    Fuck! When did this happen.

Its all degeneration of basic human qualities and values. People have become selfish and callous.

It wasn’t a race. They could’ve continued their ascent a lil’ later. Dunno why they feared a dying man. They should’ve jumped from Everest, they don’t deserve to live.
