70 year old ‘rapes’ minor
—–headline of today’s HT City. I’ve got actually no word to describe my anger, disappointment, distress and guilt. Anger, because— I hate those bloody rapists. Disappointment and distress because I actually can’t do anything. Guilt, because I am a part of such a society where such animals reside.
Did you notice that in this headline, rape is in quotes. Damn! 70 yr old man and a 12 year old girl. Nonsensical, heinous, what not !?
I’ve always believed that stature of a crime cannot be measured but rapes are torturous, big time. They spoil a girl’s life, completely. The physical ailment, on top of that the psychological torture, it devastates. To be frank, every girl in today’s wondrous society has been eve-teased and so have been I. eve-teasing is really nothing in front of sexual exploitation and when those scoundrels pass comments—you feel like bashing them hard!
I cannot just imagine the effect which rape has on the victim. Murders happen, burglaries occur but rape—-bloody shit. At least when 1 is murdered, the person is free from the world but when one is raped, the world does not let the victim live. I am not saying that the loss by deaths/murders is repairable, but the relatives of the deceased accept the fact in a while n can carry with their lives. Dun get me wrong, readers, please.
People are really taking initiative to stop eve-teasing and other anti-social activities and I’ve got all regards for them, n I do admire their effort but here is a more serious problem. And the point is that we really dun have a pre-fixed solution for this. We really need to exercise our minds and come up with solutions to combat this evil. I cannot do anything alone and I really need your support in this. I am thinking and request you to do the same. Please!
Much of this may sound exaggeration, but trust me, I just wish words could actually express. Readers, support, because TMP is more than amalgamation of thoughts, its about foundation of a better place, society may be a very gigantic word. Li’l ideas and they’ll work wonders bcoz even if 8-10 people who are regular readers of this blog will change, it will lead to bigger and better changes !

It doesnt make sense… why sould someone harm children…. n that to preteens. I can still understand that older women r raped cuz of lust n all. But lil kids?!!!! Shocking.
I just read, a boy in delhi raped a 2 year old!!! 2 year old…. thats 12 - “10″!!
The old fart should be hanged n publicly humiliated!
Even if you can’t stop somebody, you’re scared, just don’t do the thing yourself. Once we impose restrictions on ourselves we will automatically see the results.

ok, this is gonna sound disgustin but his balls should be ripped off, his pubic hair should be plucked out 1 by 1 with a tweezer and…..ok, i’m not gonna go there… bad experience… seen so many girls with their ‘pasts’. it’s so bloody common to be raped in your childhood. hate these fucking bastards and their crazy lust.

i really wud like 2 take a gun n blow d mudrfukr randas head off !!! n i totally get wot u mean (duh!! every girl duz) when u say that u just wanna bash em up nice and proper, right there and then as soon as the comments escape their mouth. dunno what cheap pleasure the assholes get by intimidating girls… i think the best thing to do is not show that ur affected or intimidated or ANYHTING !! they shouldn’t get any satisfaction, no matter what !! what’s worse, other people are just mute spectators …. we should highly be able to help each other if we can see a girl getting uncomfortable … duznt mean bash up d guy’s who’s eve-teasing (dat is really asking for too much, going by society’s present inclinations to help, or should i say the lack of them !!!) but atleast if you can, then, do make the girl feel a little comfortable … you could switch seats with her on the bus or something … ?
